MANAGEMENT OF BANANA NEMATODES USING CULTURAL AND CHEMICAL STRATEGIES

Abstract

Paring the banana suckers and dipping in 0.05% monocrotophos for 30 min in  combination with the intercrop Cralalariajrmcea L. significantly increased the bunch weight.  Application ofcarbofuran at l.25g Al/plant reduced the population 0fRadophoIu.r similir (Cobb.)  while paring the suckers and dipping them in 0.5% monocrotophos for 30 min in combination  with the intercrop Tageles erecra L. reduced the population of Helicolylenchus rnullicinclzls  (Cobb.) 240 days after planting in both soil and roots.
