Abstract


Interfcring with anchorage and absorption, the two primary functions of root of plants, the root knot ncmatodes arc of major intercst in the field of agricultural economy. Thcir economic effects in thc agricultural front are well documented. Control of root knot nematode is imminent and scvcralmeans arc adopted for this. The nematicidal methods of control are proving costly and create residual toxicity problem and many nematic ides are phytotoxic
